I had read an article about two women that fell in love.
These two women have so much strength and are strong willed. They had fallen in love and wanted to get married. But in the state they were living in, didn't allow gay marriage at the time. So they got a "domestic partnership." It made their commitment formal, but they were still denied legal rights of married couples, like tax benefits, hospital visitations, and most important the right to call their spouse their wife.
As soon as gay marriage became legal in the state of California (where they lived.) They went that day to the judge and got to tie the knot. Yet, there were some friends that thought they were too young for marriage. They said it only made their relationship stronger. One of the girls had said "Everyone deserves to be treated equally. Why should anyone be denied the kind of love and happiness I've found?"
I agree with that statement. Why should we be the judge if you're happy with the same sex? It's not our position to get involved in someone else relationship. A gay married couple isn't hurting anyone. So why should we stick our noise into it and tell them that they are denied rights and aren't allowed to be married in some states.
